Buffalo, NY- The highly anticipated Metallica "World Magnetic World Tour" hit Buffalo, NY on Tuesday evening. The kings of metal and Rock n' Roll Hall of fame inductees, played a two hour set to a nearly sold-out mostly male, metal starved audience. The band, which consists of James Hetfield-vocals/guitar, Lars Ulrich- drums, Kirk Hammett-lead guitar and Robert Trujillo-bass, have been on tour since October 2008 supporting their hard hitting, back to form, platinum selling release "Death Magnetic."

On this evening, Metallica played with intensity, energy and focus. Their performance was nearly flawless. The stage was uniquely set up in the middle of the arena, making the experience a bit more intimate for the approx.16,000 in attendance.

The show commenced with two tracks from 'Death Magnetic.' "That Was Just Your Life" was played in darkness as an array of multi-colored laser beams shot across the stage. The lights kicked on as the band proceeded with their second song of the evening "The End of the Line." (Scroll down to see the entire set list) One of the many highlights of the show was the band's performance of their first single "One" from their 1988 release 'And Justice for All.' Check out the video footage on the bottom of this page.

Overall, this was simply an amazing show, one that many will be talking of for years to come. Metallica once again proved that are still one of the most exciting bands in rock. The band still has a handful of shows this year, if you have the opportunity, you must go see this show!!!
